Default Wont even get warm

Bought a 94 gmc 4.3L v-6 for a parts chaser guy said only thing wrong with it was heater would not work. Well the engine will not get hot, put in a 195' stat guage just a little off 100 checked gague with known gauge. You can let this thing idle will not heat, pulled the grill bolcked the rad left 16 square inches of opening and it will just blow warm air and the gauge still just above 100. WTF any thoughts????

Question

Those are essentually a V-8 with 2 cylinders not there, all front accessories interchange so the only place water is fed and stopped is the thermostat. Its either defective or not seated properly is my thoughts.

The T-stat could be in upside-down. Should be "pill toward engine".

Dont think so pick-up has 150K and looking at it the engine is original runs good just a puff of smoke on start up(valve seal(s), but as cheap as it was going to drive it til to falls flat
