Default 7.25 rear axel housing dia?

I need to get some U-bolts before I go home this afternoon and forgot to measure the outside dia. of my 7.25 axel housing.

Can anyone help?

I believe thats the od-ball axle @ 2-1/2 instead of 3 inchs.

I had the 3" on hand for my 8.75 (that is waiting for the 440 ) and they were too big-

i am sure the 2.5 will work
