Default Unidentified thermoquad!

Hi guy's

Ok lets see if somebody can identify this carb for me.

I recently purchased a 1968 383 engine for my 1968 charger project and the engine i purchased is wicked, now the weird thing is it's breathing thru a thermoquad and i baddly would like to know what this carb came off of,

Top carb number 6-2124
butterflies 2-312
base plate # 6341s

now the engine runs awesome with this carb so it should be atleast 850cfm!

Thanks a bunch

My Carter listings out of the old Fed-Moual parts book list it as a carb that sat on top of anything from a 340 360 400 and a 440 from 1972 to 1974 on the Plymouth line.
I'd bet it's a 850. Primary diameter should be 1-1/2 inch. The 800 has a 1.38.
The numbers 6341 are the ones to look for in a carb search.

No, now your just discorveing what a T-Q can do. It is a excellent street strip carb. Just like what the factory books have been telling everybody for years.
Click this for service or upgrades on the carb. My buddy does great work.

First off, all secondary blades are listed as 2-312. If you have a 2-315 stamped on the primary blade it's a 1 3/8 bore and if it's a 2-314 it's a 1 1/2 bore. The smaller bore is an 800 cfm small block carb and the larger bore is an 850 cfm big block carb.

6341 list as a '73 400 manual trans car part number 3698342 and it's a 1 3/8 bore carb.

These carbs are great and we have been using them on race cars for years. Much more throttle responsive than any holley ever was.

Welcome, anytime. I have a long list of info on them since we have been racing with them. I still find info and weed through and find some screw ups, but I think it's pretty complete now. Demon will get me on something every now and then that I did not know.
