360 Roller Conversion?
I've got some crazy ideas for my next 360, a '78 from a Tradesman 200 van. Is there any way to make this engine into an '85 and later style roller cam? I would imagine the hardest part would be the center girdle to hold the lifters. I'd also go with roller cam bearings and roller rocker arms. Has anyone done this?

Roller cam bearings wont fit, they are too big and the cam cores are rare race types that would cost you over 400 a stick. THey only fit the R3 race blocks. You don't need a girdle. Comp cams and many others have lifters with guid bars that don't require a girdle and those are much better than the girdle type. Harland Sharp makes the best roller rockers for the money. We use them in our NASCAR race engines.
