Default CompCams Hi-lift camshafts

I was curious if anyone is running these. Are these the shafts that have the proper lobes for our engines, or is it another cam they offer with those lobes? What do you think of the cam if you're running them? Thanks.

Not for nothing todd, You would never know if the cam had the "Proper Lobes" or not. Stock cams do not even take advantage of the larger liffter diameter. While it pays to take advantage of it if you can, it's just one point in an engine of many that should be paid attention to.

Question

What I mean is, and you probably already know, is that CC produces their cams with a generic lobe (GM) instead of a mopar lobe. Well, I seem to remember seeing an advertisement for a CC cam with a mopar lobe and I think it was the Hi-lift cams.

Yes, the Comp Cams XExxxHL series is a true .904" lifter design for Mopars. Here's a couple of discussions:

Not a big fan of the big cam manufacturers. No matter what they say, and it may be truth, I still have difficulty in believing that they actually care about, and design cams specifically for Mopar engines and their larger lifter footprint. I'm convinced they still grind them from Chev patterns.
On the other hand there are some smaller, Mopar only bussinesses that advertise a cam, specificully for your Mopar. I've had really good luck with one such shop, and now trying another shop just as an exercise in wonder.

Are you speaking of Hughes? I've heard good and bad about them, but mostly good. I've looked at their cams too and they are being considered as well.

Thanks for the replies and the links.

But, the specs for the Comp Cams XExxxHL series ARE definitely .904" lifter Mopar lobes. I've compared the numbers. Of course the exhaust lobes are a little longer and slower, but still quite aggressive.
