Default After Market Alternator Brackets

Hey all, Im in the finishing stages of putting in my rebuilt 360 in my 73 Charger. All is going well but, Get this, my biggest problem so far is getting the alternator/brackets to line up with the main pully. I think Ive got a case of "Frankenmotor" under the hood (parts from three different cars) and the Charger had A/C, but no more when I bought it. (some of the alt. bolts/brackets used to bolt to the compressor) For that matter I cant get the power steering pump to line up either.

Id like to use the origional brackets, but if I have to use aftermarket....I will....Where can I get some mounting brackets to mount this alt/PS pump....Like with the turn buckles.... any suggestions ... Ill look in the summit catalog.... thanks Craig

Sounds like the crank pulley is the wrong one. Best thing to do is get a complete set up from a salvage yard.

The YearOne catolog is a gr8 reference guide to "see" what it is you need, then look for the parts somewhere else cheaper.....good luck.

I'm assuming that you have an early 360, since the later ones used A/C that mounted above the intake and had nothing to do with the alternator, sharing no brackets or mounting hardware.

Good Web site 70AARCUDA.... I blieve Ill be giving them a buzz, if I cant find a set up at the salvage Yard.

Dart65.... The motor is a 73... and none of my brackets will bring the alt. out far enough to match up with the main pulley....

It looks as if the 2 grooves on the main are too far in towards the harmonic balancer to be of any use.

I would love to have some kind of serpentine set up with an idler pully.

I found a 13 dollar crome aftermarket bracket on e-bay that fits just fine, like the other's mentioned its your pulleys. The pulley set up with AC is different. I pulled the AC off the 318, 1971 block and the stock pulley didnt line up. I got my reproduction crank pulley from Mancini and everything worked out fine.
