B-body Rear axle problemo
Can I change rear axle (8-3/4) from 69' Charger to my 73' Charger? Is it just bolt on or not? What modification it needs to do?

The 71& up rear axle is almost 3" wider than the '68-'70 axle. Spring perches are 3.3" further apart. To use the '69 axle you have to cut the spring perches off, buy new ones , install the axle with the perches loose on teh axle, center it, tighten it up, set the pinion angle and weld the spring perches to the axle. You may have to remove the U-bolts and raise the axle to get it throughly welded. Weld only a little at a time and let it cool down before next weld to avoid warping.
