Fan clutch ?
Hey All,I need to replace my fan clutch and am wondering,which is better thermal or non thermal and what are the pro's & con's between them?

A thermal clutch that also deactivates at certian RPM is the best combination and available at most parts stores.

I'd go thermal (in fact I did!) My reasoning being that you need the fan to move more air through the rad when temps go up, and whether the temp rise is rpm related or otherwise doesn't matter, as long as the unit does the job. Brief runs to red-line won't run the temps up much so why waste the power drag from an rpm-based fan?

Thanks for the replies guys,I am going with the thermal,until next year then it's aluminum rad. and electric fans
