Default mopar tall throttle bracket and trans cable

Has anybody used the new tall throttle bracket for the M1 intake (or 1" spacer) and their new cable transmission kick down linkage system? How does it work?? Frank R.

on another mopar classified board a guy sells a real nice looking set up. Very clean and machined very well. I would go that route if my cable wasnt a steel rod or if the engine wasnt behind me

Default They are from Mopar...

The stuff is on a Mopar performance website somewhere out in cyberspace, the part numbers are: Throttle bracket P4510318 (440 tall Throttle Bracket) and P4510645 (Kickdown Cable) If Mopar didn't hide their "performance" website so well I can give that to ya but........If Mopar.com wasn't designed so you have to know exactly what your looking for and then you might find it, instead of allowing us to be able to "browse" easily this stuff might actually get some exposure; I discovered it by accident. I picked up the throttle bracket yesterday and it is a very nice piece but it will not accomodate the stock kickdown linkage. Before I drop $150 on the kickdown cable I wanna know if it works otherwise I will fabricate/ modify and old bracket. Frank R.

Default Yeah.....

Kevin thanks, and the pic is exactly the bracket I bought I was hoping someone might know if the cable kickdown was a nice piece as well. I just phoned Glendora Dodge with the throttle bracket part number and they got it pretty quick. I guess the question is, is Mopar getting these pieces from ar engineering or is ar eng. getting them from Mopar. Either way does the kickdown cable work well? Frank R

Default cables

that kickdown cable setup looks like a lokar setup, I think I paid about 65 for mine through summit. Now they are 53.95

Surely does look like a Lokar k/d cable. I have their complete throttle & kickdown set-up on my 360 and I haven't seen a nicer bit of equipment for a while. I'd recommend their product for sure. Too bad you've already got the bracket, though. Their mounting set-up is a lot less intrusive but you do have to use both their cables. Take a look at www.lokar.com. Cheers!

Default lokar stuff

I used a universal carb plate adapter from summit, for mounting seeing that the lokar one didn't suit my liking. It just took some drilling to mount the kickdown underneath. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow. And you don't have to worry about it not being straight seeing it can go as high as the carb.

Default Ok..

I am assuming by the comments that the cable K/D systems work well and I shouldn't be afraid of dropping the bones, thanks guys..... Frank R.

I have a 383 in a 68 barracuda and need a throttle cable and kickdown Mopar list price for the tall throttle bracket is $52.00 and $74.00 for the kickdown. What is the Lokar price for the kickdown kit and can it be used without the tall bracket?

Default lokar love

for a 24" throttle kit in black is $28, also in 36" $33, you can trim down the cable to as long or short as needed, kickdown for $75, bracket is another $20 these are the prices in the most recent Summit Catalog, or you can find them at

George, the Lokar k/d kit needs an additional mounting bracket. It's designed to work with their throttle cable assy which has the mount bolted to the left rear carb stud. The universal one from Summit will also work as seen in 64dart's pics. In my case the Lokar mount didn't extend far enough out from my T/Q and I had to make an extension - no big deal. Nice thing about the carb-stud mounting is it doesn't matter how high your manifold is, the cables will always line up with the throttle lever. Bouchillon also makes a throttle lever adapter since you're going from a push-backward rod to a pull-forward cable. Cheers
