Christopher: Is it possible this is an Interceptor? HP would be higher in the Interceptor, right? We are building for a street "rod" not track. This is not a typical factory 440 like in Chargers or GTX.Has marking on block we have never seen before. In the number on block it has a symbol that resembles an iron cross. Any idea what that means? Thanks!! :-)

What did it come out of. It may be an early factory replacement motor. Need more input.

What that means is that Mercedes-Benz built it.I'm kidding!!!It really means that the crankshaft is undercut by.0001 on either the rod or main journals. In other words,if you have the maltese cross and M1 after it,then main journal #1 is undercut, likewise if it said R2 then rod journal #2 is undercut. It will only be for those journals only that are stamped on the block,NOT the entire crank. Also the info I gave you earlier was for the police engine,as the passenger car version made less horsepower!!!And my info came straight from Chrysler.
