Default Dayco TC's

Anyone ever use the Dayco TC's on street? I can get the 2300-2500 from Dayco for about $150. They are local so I can just drive across town and pick it up.

Thanks.

You can get an MP for that price too, but being local might be a better deal if it were to poop on you.

Default Thanks.....

Being local has entered into my mind. If it don't perform I can always walk into the office and say (What's UP).

Just thinking out loud.

I had one in my 70 Cuda with a 440/727. It ballooned and took aout the pump and thrust bearing. Cost me $1800 to repair the damage done by a $100 converter.

I have been running a Dayco for about 4 months with no problems. You may want to contact Power Demon Transmissions in Houston (They have a web site - search Google). They have been using Dayco exclusively. However, I think they are now using a different brand because of some problems. Contact either Dennis or Robert at PD and they will give you the right information.

I'd stick with TCI if you want to save some money. Replacing a cheaper converter will cost you more in the long run. www.tciauto.com
