Default Gas prices, will they slow you down?

Will the higher price of gas affect the amount you race?

They've slowed down how fast I normally drive, and how much too.

At one time I could get it at 2.25 at it's highest. I;ve seen it higher than that though. Right now it's down to 2.06.

gas is coming down here a little somewhere in the low 2's. I have a 2wd ram that is real tough on gas and i have a 4x4 ram w/ a 360 that's good on gas. I can get 12 towing if i'm nice to it. I am planning to slow down a little on the road and speed up on the track!

Gas has finally come down in my neck of the woods. I think we get a little bit cheaper fuel here in the midwest because of the ethanol. Gas was $2.08, $2.12, $2.28 respectively for the 3 grades; those prices are still falling too! I try to do a little less driving, but I still have a lead foot. Think I need to amputate that.

gas went to 2.31 today(reg).........................Tesoro is suing Alyeska pipeline co cause they charge too much to pump oil from the slope..........................the first survey crew's are out on anwr..................news last night said gas should be going up here untill 4th july (might reach 3.00) thats 90$ to fill my tank, wife puts 120 miles a day, 30$ a day for gas......................i heard some parts of california are paying over 3 bucks per gallon......................................were all going to be walking before long, i hope opec and all th eoil companies, the government that taxes us, and the assholes that make new trucks get worse fuel economy than the old are happy. we will see everything go up (everything) and wages stay the same, is there a cure, a solution? or are we just screwed int driving geo metro's? a pallet of chainlink, a cement mixer, and a sling of pipe would look awfull funny on a metro.

Going for about $2.06 here at the local grocery store, with their discount. With my 70 mile (each way) commute, buying that little Honda Accord last fall makes me look like a genius. I've got about $1200 into it, and that includes $375 worth of 4 brand-new tires and a $175 stereo that plays MP3s. It burns about 3.5 gallons a day. My pickup would burn 10, the Durango 8-9, and the 300M would burn about 5-6, so I'm making money every day now. Shucks, the higher gas prices go, the more money I'll make. (Now, wait just a damn minute here. Is that right?????)

Fast Eddie: The reason I quoted you was simpy to grab your attention. We just might be related. My grandparents farmed in Kennedy and later lived in Lake Bronson. I spent a lot of time running with my cousin in his 69 Chevelle SS 396 in some of the old years gone by. Don't get up that way much any more, though I do still have a cousin and aunt in Thief River Falls.

Sorry to grab the thread like this, it's just that not too many people know where Hallock, MN is.

Back you guys....
