Compression??

I have a motor that has 11.7cc dome diplacment pop ups 360 bored .070 over now a 372 cu.in. i will be changing the heads to use 051 or 345's. they have large c. chambers. w/ a .093 compressed thickness gasket and 78 cc heads my compression will be 9.91:1. My question is will this detonate. i have heard of the eginemaster stroker blow out and the 408 mopar was on top w/ 637 hp then ford 408 w/ 450? h.p and chevy 406 w/ 450? h.p. all built to run on 91 oct. but tested at 100 oct. all were 10.1:1 to 10.2:1 comp. so this gives me hope. any input? MM : firedance

WOW! Now thats a question!

I'd like to see the piston itself. What are they? Can I see them on the web? Did you do any machine work to them.
The head chambers;
Are they deburred, smoothed &/or polished?
This would eliminate any hot spots, (on the both of them) the cause of preignition.
Cam timing plays a factor in this as well. If it's a stout one, the timing events will bleed off pressure.
Have you mocked it up and actually checked clearances?
