Unhappy

I've got a 70 RR with the following set up 383BB with a 1966HP block, bored .030 over, 10/1 forged pistons,M1 single plane,750 holley 4160,.509 cam, stock rocker assbly, 906 heads with 2.14/1.81 valves running thru a 727 3500 stall to a 8 3/4 suregrip with 4.56 gears. Anyway my temper got the best of me the other day when a kid in his daddy's cobra tried to squeeze in front of me during rush hour traffic. Well, I got mad and kicked it,blew his doors off, and made the world a better place for everyone...Well at least till I got home!!!!My engine was rattling bad...I was sure I had spun a bearing. I tore into it and found everything okay..sort of..I had floated the valves...intakes barely kissed the pistons..and I had one loose valve guide(that I hope was making the noise)...I also found my lifters(mopar performance) showed some bad wear patterns..I was planning on replacing them with crane anti pump ups(to fix the floating valve thing...but I have a non adjustable valve train and wasn't sure if I should use these...........Is anyone using these with a stock set up and standard length pushrods.

thanks

They will work fine with the stock valve train. It is doubtful that they will keep the valves from floating. Stiffer valve springs would most likely take care of that.

You might want to try the battleship valve springs (P3690933). These are recomended for up to .520" of lift.
