Default Aftermarket disk brakes Willwood? SSBC ??

Just wanted to get some input on disk brake recommendations. I have been mainly looking at Stainless Steel Brake Co. and Willwoods. Now the willwoods have a kit to work with the 9 inch drum spindles so finding new spindles wouldnt be an issue. Stainless Steel Brake Co's kit comes complete with the master cylinder and power brake booster. So Id like to know what everybody else on here has and what they think ?

My buddy put the ssbc brakes on all four corners of his 65 cuda and the back brakes dont do anything and they seem to just sell him more stuff to try to fix it, I just laughed at him when he told me how much his crap cost. The tech line doesnt seem to help him either, if I had a couple thousand into my brakes and they didnt work I would go apesh..
That is all I know about ssbc.
I put wilwood 4 piston calipers on my 70 4x4 rear axle, I like them. kinda overkill, but I dont need an adjustable prop valve they work so good, 35 inch boggers.

I installed the SSBC front disc's about 4 years ago. They have worked perfect ever since. The peddle pressure is a bit more for braking but they stop straight and true. Front to rear brake proportioning will change when you install front disc's so a rear proportioning valve will help that (The rear brakes tend to lock up faster when you install front disc's). When I redue my rear end I am considering rear disc's. Most all the people I know that have switched over love them and so far the front switch has worked very well.

Wilwoods the only way to go. Been around forever and have a large selection of parts for just about any set up. We use them on a lot of our cars. Can't go wrong here.

SSBC is great for what they are. They just don't compare to Wilwood. A better setup to compare would be Wilwood to Baer.

Ill have to look into Baer, didnt know they made disk brakes for mopar. Willwood claims their brakes will shed like 30 lbs off the car compared to the stock set up.. think that'd be true with the small 9 inch drums I have now?

YEs, it it's true and it may even add up to more of a weight loss than that. Good thing about it, is that it's a reduction un unsprung weight and that helps to increase cornering much more than a sprung weight reduction.
