LPG conversion
Hi
I have a 97LX 2.00ltr auto done 23000 uk miles. The cost of petrol over here is going through the roof so I am seriousley considering conversion to LPG. I run a Landrover Discovery 3.9 V8 on LPG and am happy with the set-up but the Neon has very little free space in the engine bay. My questions are:- 1) has anyone out there converted a Neon to run on LPG? 2) what sytem did you use? 3) where did you site the regulator? 4) any do's or dont's? Many thanks in advance. |

I wish there was more info on this. Our county seat had a LPG refilling station, but when prices dropped in the late 90s, they shut it down.
I was interested in building a high compression engine to take advantage of LPG's natural high octane. The main reason I didnt was cause I was unsure about availablity of LPG and in retrospect, it turns out I was correct. Of course, now gas is thru the roof again!! |
