Cry 416 pilot bushing

Went to put a pilot bushing in my 4 inch steel crank an low and behold the pilot bushing is way to small. Anyone go through this I'm really in a jam here, is there a special pilot bushing for these things. Any help is appreciated.

Most likely that crank is drilled for the newer bushings that set at the outer ring of the crank instead of all the way down in the hole. Check out a roller bushing for a newer trcuk engine. That should work.

Thanks for repling. So your talking where the tourqe converter hub usually goes is where the pilot bushing or bearing goes. It looks like it will fit. Does anyone have any measurments on the magnum style pilot bushing, because I can probably match one up at a bearing shop.

Do you have a means to measure the bushing? (micrometer/calipers)

There are bushings available for unfinished cranks, they usually measure .915". The original bushing measured .938".

The bushing adapter intended for use in the converter register is SKF B267.
