Default Buying a tranny question?

Who makes a good warm street tanny for a slant six? Vehicle is a D150 with a warmed up slant. Its for a driver so it needs to be full auto.

John Cope at CRT builds only Mopar transmissions and his prices are competitive with the "dime store" brands.

Just trying to understand this...

Why does it have to be an auto?

Because I am to lazy to shift the gears on a manual valve body on a daily basis.

Smile Burn out

Just went to Copes site and was reading the tech pages, at the bottom there was some driving tips. One said never start a burn out in first gear, instead start in second gear and shift into third. I have never heard this before. What are your thoughts?

Best not to do burnouts at all...

But if you must, I'd say that changing up might encourage damage to driveline components aft of the box.
