Default Dana 60's

Looking for 'first' hand info (reputation, quality, service) on any of the following vendors that sell complete Dana 60 rearends. Who's dealt with these vendors?

1. Strange
2. DTS (DriveTrainSpecialist)
3. Moser

I have one of those in mind after many phone calls and one other that isn't well know but has a great reputation on another board. Thanks for any info!

Chris

Can't beat Strange or Mosier. Just get the cheaper of the two. Never tried the other one though.

Moser resplined some axles for me once, and I was very pleased. They are easy to talk to, and will give a lot of advice. Based on that, any needs I have in the future, they will be on of the first places I call. Mark Williams Enterprises is another place I would recommend. I have had work done by him, and the parts I got were outstanding!

Doctor Diff can get you the Strange stuff cheaper than you going through strange, he pretty much is a strange dealer. He built a Dana 60 for my Volare, I phoned 3 places, no one could get me one in time, he built me one in a few days and saved my racing season, DTS was real expensive, Bears here in Can was even more expensive and wanted my 8 3/4 to measure even though my car takes a stock 65 B body rear, Strange was gonna be a month to get me one.
I sent him money and I picked it up at the Nats, was racing the next weekend, I was down 3 weeks.
I'm pretty sure he is the guy you are refering to. He said he could have had one sent from Strange to me for $50 less then Strange wants.

That's cool. I've never dealt with Strange, but I have never heard a bad word about them.

Yes he's the one I have also talked to. He does sell Strange products and at a cheaper price like you said. Believe it or not DTS and Doc Diff were only $10.00 different in price for basically the same combo and shipping. Strange is out of Powerloc's until late august so right now its between Doc Diff and DTS. Moser was a bit more expensive but still a good candidate. Its nice to have several great options for such a buy like this.

I seem to remember DTS wanted $2250, Strange was $1850 Bears was $3000cnd. Funny thing was Strange refered me to DTS when I said I needed one in 2 weeks, Strange couldn't make one in under 3.

I'm sure there might be a few variations on price but here's what I've been quoted.

Dana 60 housing/w pinion snubber provision.
3.54 gears
powerloc(upgrade)
spring perches
1/2" studs
35 Spline axles
Aluminum Cover girdle(upgrade)
Shipping

Dts: $2385 ( 2 week build time)
Doc Duff: $2395 (1 month build Time)

Also Doc Diff prefers Money Order or Cashiers Check. With a purchase like this I would feel a bit more comfortable using a credit card just in case any issues arise.

I really don't need this until sept-oct but am looking now so I get it right.
