Running a FBO unit on the circle burner and very pleased. Looks like a stocker so no wireing is required, just plug it in and go. Unless you're running a really slobbering cam and require multi-spark its a no brainer.

MSD box is the only way to go with the set up you have.

everybody seems to run the msd as its been around forever and is the main provider. that tells me its likely a good unit because its so widely used, but ive heard others say that quality has declined over the years and that the msd units are hard on the rest of the ignition system parts. any truth to this?

i was starting to look at the crane units, as they offer the best bang for the buck....at least on paper they seem to.

MSD is an old anolog design. Lots of digital boxes out there with features like starter retard, multi switch retards, boost control, diagnostics, etc. Shop around, I like Mallory, very flexible. Support is awesome, $25.00 to go through a box for any repair or testing. Not bad...

MSD has digital boxes and all the features Pishta mentioned. I've had a MSD 7AL2 for a few years now and use them in dirt and asphalt cars without any problems. You have to use there coils so there is nothing else that can take beatting. Good wires are a must no matter what you run though. MSD even has there own line of caps, wires, rotor buttons, etc. etc.

What is the intended use of this Duster? If it is going to spend a lot of time at the track, the MSD or Jacobs are great choices. If it is mostly street, I would go with the FBO a68 or the Jacobs.
