Default 383 buildup

i have a 383 i'm now building up for my 59 pickup, and i'm in the process of looking over my part selection to make sure it all works together. i plan on using the truck as a dual purpose vehicle ( i don't plan on towing, but it would be nice to know i can.) here's what i'd like to see out of the build, since its a street driven truck, i need pump gas, about a 9.5:1 compression or so, good idle, aiming for 425 hp, and 500 lb*ft torque.
here's what i have:
383 (1964 vintage) 0.040" overbore.
forged crank, stock rods,
906 heads (siezed valves)
stock intake, (69 vintage 4bbl dual plane)
holley 4160 vac secondaries.

here's what i'm looking at:
replacement pistons (not sure what yet)
346 heads, 3 angle valve job, i have access to a set that are already machined, to replace the 906's i have that need work.
compcam XE250H cam,
edelbrock, or mopar dual plane intake
750 cfm carb, vac secondaries.
small tube headers, and true dual exhaust.

so what do you think? what should i change?
thanks,
chris.

I'd double check the exhaust seats on the 346 heads for cracks. I've had to replace a lot of seats in that particular casting and I'm a lil leery of them.
I'm not saying you shouldnt use them, just check them closely.
You're planning to tow and work the engine, and it won't that long to check with the heads not installed yet.
I'm not sure which cam you mean, the XE250H is a Shivvy cam. I found these for BBMopar on the Jegs site:

Xtreme Energy XE274H Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft & Lifter Kit
Lift: .488''/.491''
Duration: 274°/286°
RPM Range: 1800-6000
Xtreme Energy XE284H Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft & Lifter Kit
Lift: .507''/.510''
Duration: 284°/296°
RPM Range: 2300-6500
If its one of these, I'd go with the milder of the two, be sure to get the proper valve springs to go with it.
Also, seeing it's going to be a work truck, I'd might try to find a set of HP manifolds and get away from future potential header hass

like i say, i don't plan on towing, or hauling anything major, just occasional use as a truck, maybe. as for that cam it is also a chrysler cam, CRB-XE250H-10, is the number comp cams uses.
Gross Valve Lift 0.432 0.444
Duration At 0.006 Tappet Lift 250 260
really torquey.

The cam in you second post is milder than the 383 335hp Magnum cam. They used to have a .471 lift cam that still might not be enough. The old "Street Hemi grind." Probably need to be looking over .500 lift. Edelbrock RPM intake or if you are lucky to find a Holley Street Dominator.
