6D9;

Been thinking, a guess depending on how well the car leaves 13.30 to 13.50 at best. Challengers are kinda heavy even with a small block. The steeper gears will help get the weight moving, how big are the tires ???

Thanks for the replys guys!!

LA360 Dart, The current tires are 275/40/17's right now. They are 25.7" tall. This is my buddys car. I told him he would need some 1.7 to 1.8 60's to get into the low 13's. He plans to get some Drag radials in the same size as stated above and if that does not work some 26x11.5x15 ET streets.

Also..do you guys think this combo would pick up by changing to an RPM air gap manifold over the Mopar M1 single plain?? I figured it would 60 foot better with it and help get that sucker movin! I think the car will need somewhere between a 1.7 and 1.8 60's to hit mid to low 13's. What kind of MPH do you think it is capable of???

With 'sticky' tires and running low 13's you will be in the 101-103 mph range.

Thanks GTX for the link! His current 318 with stock heads/cam runs 15.28 at 89 so hopefully this new motor could pull 101-103 trap speeds. The little 318 put down 179 rwhp .

The problem is that you're asking questions that can't really be answered over the internet. There are too many variables that you can't take into account: track conditions, humidity, elevation, pinion angle, tire size/tread, weight of the car, what you weigh, ignition system, etc. I could go on forever on what you didn't include. You're going to get wild guesses when you ask that question, no matter what. The best cure for that problem is to not waste your time asking the question and take the care to a dyno and find out what it puts out and then post here.

I hear ya...just looking for more of a baseline thats it. The motor has been ordered and is not here yet so we are just playing around with some questions .

Default My A body

Hi 6D9

My A Body weights in at 3645 with me and 1/2 tank of gas.
My engine is 365 ci magnum headed smallblock, took it to a
chassis dyno made 292hp at rear wheels. At a local track 1/8th
mile its best pass 8.11 @ 85.66 with 1.815 60' which in the 1/4
is 12.80's @ 102. Dart 65 is correct to many variables to correctly
state performance. These are just approxamations at best.
