Hello !
I just bought my new Neon and I just love the car!! Especially when it revs over 3500 :-) Does anybody have any link or knowledge abou t 2000 Neon 2.0-16 M5 acceleration times (0-60, 1/4 mile)? My car is Euro model with short 5 th gear transmission. |

IDO59, The older Neons were in the 8.5 - 8.7 range 0-60 mph with the SOHC motor. I drove a new ES a couple weeks ago and it definitely isn't as quick. The new Neons are heavier than the old ones by a couple hundred pounds which would account for the difference. Quarter times for the new cars are probably around 16.5-17.0 seconds as a guess. Hey, get ya one of them there underdrive pulleys and clock the 1/4 then!

Actually, I think the underdrive pulley is a little pricey. You would be better served buying one of the Iceman Intakes, getting a high flow muffler and rounding up one of the ACR or performance computers. These mods would give you more HP per $$$.
