Default 1977 400 engine

Where can i find a complete rebuild kit for my 1977 400ci. I would like it to have forged pistons. Also where are some good parts sites besides summit, jegs, etc

PAW has just about any level of rebuild kits you could want:

Mancini specializes in Mopar parts:

I have not dealt with them but, http://www.hughesengines.com/ seem very Mopar friendly.

PAW would be my last choice for quality parts, but they are better than Summit (I call them the Chevy store) and Jegs (The Ford boys).

I have gotten many parts from mancini. They are Mopar people and they know their stuff. Huges is also very good. They are also great Mopar guys but their prices are up quite a bit. If you want quality you will have to pay for it.

Summit racing has a page in there catolog. I called for Ships and cracker giggles about my 400. They said no problem, it is just like the 383 kit except pistons basicly, so...how do you want the pistons?
I was like coooooooooool.

you might also check with Internal Engine Parts Group they carry engine kits for viryually anything and will modify the kits to meet your needs. All their parts are top brands ie. Sealed power/ speed pro , clevite, acl, melling, cloyes. With 9 warhouses to pull from or straight from the manufacturer.

Damn, I sound like I'm making a sales pitch for em! lol

get a spun main bearing 440 crank, turn it down and get 451 pistons that go with 400 rods (there are a few for both 440 rods and 383/400 rods) Remember to turn down the throws too. Balance the whole thing with the 400 damper and hold on...That is the cheap. Q: does your convertor have weights on it? Knock 'em off to neutral as a balance shop usually cannot balance a convertor.
