Default 2bl for 360 rebuild

Hey Mopar land its a good day. Went today to check out my latest find and it started right up after 10 years!!!!! Gotta love mother Mopar. Anywho, the two barrel carb on top of this mid 70's 360 is not squirting gas what so ever. In fact it was spewing gas out of the top in the forward portion of the carb. What is wrong? It won't spray but its getting gas. How hard is this monsterious 2bl to rebuild?

The Carter or Holley on top should be easy to do. Take your time and look before you leap. Twist easy and have lots of WD-40 on hand to help.

The carbs problem in not squirting gas out the boosters is the plunger (Carter) is shrivled up. Old Carters employed leather on the plunger to squirt gas out the shooter.
Also, there could be a great deal of gas turned gum and varnish everwhere on and in the carb. This would stop the needle and seat from sealing up and stoping the gas form entering the fuel bowl. This would spill out the top of the carb.

Warnig, fire hazzard!

Thanks Rumble, ya I'm talking big time fire hazzard. The way that sucker was spitting fuel there is no problem with the fuel pump!!!!! Luckily I found like three carb rebuild kits in the back of the car. It doesn't get any better. That and 2 tranny overhaul kits, a engine overhaul kit, a gallon zip lock of new spark plugs, and various goodies. Thats what I am talkinng about.
