Default Almost Done

I've built a warmed up 360 (.030" over, internally balanced, RV cam, Edelbrock intake, headers) for my '84 Ramcharger. The only things left are the radiator, carb, distributor, oil, and taching up the exhaust. Those things'll take another couple of hours or so. The carb is where I have some questions. What carb should I use and do I therefore need the adapter kit? I have a friend who going to give me a couple of old Edebrock carbs, but I don't know what cfm they are or what kind of condition they might be in. I can rebuild one of them if they'll work, saving me a couple of hundred dollars over a new or even rebuild carb. Has anyone else done this swap? Any suggestions?

I dont know if this really applies but..
I have a rebuilt Edel carb, 600cfm and rebuilt by Edel. No problems with her as of yet for my mostly daily driver 360 Duster. Installed about 3 years ago.
