Default Carb Question

Yesterday I installed a Road Demon 625 cfm carb. on my truck. It performs flawlessly, except for one thing.Under full throttle when I lift my foot I hear a short whistle.I checked for vaccum leaks and found none.I did however have to cut a notch in the base of my air cleaner to clear the clip on the electric choke.could this be the source of my mystery whistle?

I had the same dang thing on my Carter 625, It turned out to be the choke plate on the carb. Your thinking may be right. Not 100% on it though.
