Default 84 Benz 380 SL ?

84 380 SL will not start have fuel psi but no fire. Was told it was must likely the ignition module $700.00+ ouch. Any ideas where and how to start tracing the problem. It was running fine wife pull in to get gas and would not re-start. Is my only solution the dealer ship?

I would probably post it on a Benz board, youll have more luck there. I would not suggest taking it to a dealer, youll get raped there. Try to find a private mechanic that works on Benzs.

try and take the ignition module (if you can even find it in there) to a autozone or some place that will test for free. Might be a cheaper TDC sensor. My Mitsu's 3.0 SOHC V6 TDC was built into the $700 distributor! F that....
