Default Header fitment with B/RB Edelbrock heads

I called Edelbrock today after seeing their warning on their website about header fitment and sparkplug clearance due to the angled plugs. They guy on the phone said that the only 2 sets of headers will fit their heads:

- Hooker Super Comps with 2" and larger primaries
- TTI

Anyone else have any input? I had been eyeballing some Hedman 78038 Elite headers. They are 1 3/4" primary, thick flanged, cermic coated headers that have a street price around $360. I know that sometimes these parts suppliers don't test all possible combinations and they are less than half of the going price for B/RB TTI headers.

There not the same as thye 2 inch Hooker Super Comp headers. The Elietes are the regular headman headers with a thicker flange and coated. Got to the HEadman site and look around at the part numbers and pictures. You should see it. There the same headers.
I have these on my 400 in a Dodge Magnum. I don't think the plugs will clear very well.
#5 & #6 are very close to the paired tubes.

Well, it looks like I'll just have to spend the extra cash for the TTIs. My engine won't need 2" primaries so I guess the TTIs are the only option. The Hedmans looked like the price was right, but if the fit is tight with iron heads, I can imagine they'd be a big pain with angled plugs.

I use hooker comp 1 7/8 B body headers in my Volare. I had to clearance the #2 header tube. The rest were ok. On #2 the plug points directly at the tube. You will likely have that on most headers.
