I am running 245-60-14 on my 67 Dart in the rear. I have acustom offset, 14x7 rallie wheel. You can call Stockton Wheels in CA or Specialty Wheels in Sandy Oregon for details. I'm sure someone else has done it in the past.

The small bolt pattern A body ralleys are actually 14 by 5 1/2. You CAN install 245/60/14's, but they are really too wide for this narrow a wheel. In fact, 235's probably are too, but I did run a set on the rear of my 65 Barracuda for a couple of years no problem. The 235's fit better on a 14X6 Cragar S/S or Centerline Auto Drag, both of which are still available with a 5-lug 4" bolt circle to fit the early A bodies.
It's a little known fact that Cragar S/S's were a FACTORY option on 65 Darts. I have the dealer brochure to prove it. Also remember seeing at least one so equipped, new on the lot at Hill-Kelly Dodge in Pensacola, Florida back in 65. Just something to consider.

I have the factory rally wheels, 5 1/2 x 14's on my Duster. I'm running 245/60-14's on the street @ 28PSI and have NO PROBLEMS. I also have a spare set with 235/60-14 M&H 707 DOT's for the strip. I have not yet run them but hope to try them this weekend @ 20PSI.

Here's the info from the B.F. Goodrich web site (www.bfgoodrichtires.com): Recommended rim width for a 245/60R14 tire is 7 to 8.5 inches. I repeat: this tire is too wide for a 5.5 wheel, even though it can be mounted on one. You will not receive the full benefit of whatever performance is designed into the tire, and will not get the tire life you should. Whether this is a "problem" is a matter of judgment and depends on how much you crave the wide tire look. It's all a tradeoff.
