Default Kind of leaning towards buying a Speed Demon for the 880 Custom.

I've checked out some of the previous carb thread (a veritable goldmine of info) and have come to a rough guess that I'd need a 650CFM carb, not sure what the heck difference there is between a vacuum secondary and a manual secondary. I have stock cam (but will upgrade to mild street later) stock exhaust system (will have TTI headers and free flow pipes soon) and ED Performer inlet manifold. Presently have a 750CFM 1411 ED carb on it that I'm close to selling on to be honest. It's ok but that's it, just ok.

I got my 650CFM rating based on this chart. http://www.jegs.com/instructions/132/Demon.html

Car is a '65 Custom 880 and my final tuning aim here is to be able to spin the wheels in the dry, that's it, no racing, no drags, just enough whump to make life interesting.

I will continue to read the old threads just so I can learn a bit more.

Giving up on the Edelbrock, sometimes you got to change directions:

How about a good 'ol 3310 Holley 750 Vacuum? Inexpensive, Right size, plenty of low end with the vacuum secondary, and you could run it right out of the box with a stock to mild motor with plenty of room for improvement. Check your Private message.

Looks like Jegs got that from the Barry Grant web site.

If you are buying from the US, I would recommend that you buy it from Don over at FBO Systems.
