Exclamation Performance Voltage Regulator

I have a racing voltage regulator I am using for a complete wiring
job. It is the p3690732 regulator and is blue. Pre-1969 style. It has two connections but I don't know which is which due to the harness all pulled out. There is a top stud with nut for one connection and then a red wire with connector from the bottom of the unit for the other connection. Which is the field terminal and which is ignition terminal? One can be pictured in JEGS or Summit Racing Catalog. Any help is greatly appreciated
Keith
