64 fury 318

hello, fairly new to mopars, GM convert(dad worked 30 yrs for the general!).
anyway, i have question about my 64, it currently has a 318 2 bbl, automatic.
i would like to swap in a 360 small block. my question is has anyone ever dealt with maund motor works in PA? they advertise a 360 small block, rated @350 hp 388 ft/lbs for $ 2,700.00 was wondering if this is to good to be true?
the mopar crate 360's run about 4k in the mopar mags depending on who you buy from. thanks for any input.

Default

That HP level in a mostly stock bottom end 360 is easy to do. The price is fair if the machine work is good.
If you go for it, open up the engine and check all the clearances and specs and mic it out so YOU know what YOU have for sure.
The old 318 engine is very good for resale in certain circles.

Welcome to the board and MoPars. I think you'll like them better. More power with stock parts. While some things cost a little more, there worth it. Then again, Chevy is the only cheap engine out there to a point.

Default Big block all the way!

440 or 400 stroked to 500. As far as Maund motor works goes, I would stay away from a shop that says Edelbrock heads are junk and only indys make horsepower. Close minded, if you ask me. Lot's of 9 sec. cars running on so called junk RPM heads. We have a car here in Minnesota running low 8s on a set of RPMs.
Just wait till the Victor heads kick but on the E-Zs for less money.
They are already saying the Victor will match up to the Indy 440-1s.
Do your own motor so you know what you have.
I don't trust crate motors.
