Pretty cool. I have a lousy cable modem connection, or the server is very slow but I was unable to get a smooth stream. Can you Email me one of those streams so I can host it on my Comcast server? s.wander@sbcglobal dot net
OOh, what size rear tires are you running?

Sure thing. I will try to do that tonight when I get home.

I just watched one of them. Slow download but streamed just fine. I probably could have made the files a litlle smaller.

Evan

Oh yea tire size is 26 x 8.5 x 15 MT Drag ET

Cool videos. Your 340 sounds sweet. Curious what your basic set-up is. Did you beat that late model Camaro? You really closed on him in the first 100 ft. it looked like, then it was pretty even.

Thanks Mopartodd

Heres the basics:

1970 or 71...cant remember, 340 block 30 over
10.5 trw forged pistons
j heads fully ported
stock rods and crank
.474 purple shaft cam
performer rpm intake
carter carb
1-3/4 custom headers
full race 904 tranny
391 sure grip
superstock springs
recurved stock distributer
msd6al

As for that Late model Camaro...I think he beat me that time. We diced it up several times that day and I don't remember if I ever beat him. I wish I could say different.

very nice, youve got a really cool little dart! im hoping to get close to that when my 318 is done in my swinger with a little shot of go-go gas. Question for you, I love the sound of your car, are you running mufflers on it, and if so, what are they?

Nice videos! Say, in that second video, what's will all the black-coloured GM stuff in the back ground? Coincidence, or was the track offering a discount for dark coloured GM trash that day?...

It's nice to see that posted videos of, and admitted, getting your butt kicked. I don't know if I could do that after spending so much time working on a car.

No mufflers, straight headers. Part of the fun of Drag Racing for me is the sound. Nothing like spinning thru the gears and ringing it out Just not the same with mufflers!

Thanks for the info, I kinda thought it was straight headers, but i wasnt sure. Im just trying to pick some nice sounding ones for my Swinger. Im thinking about putting in cutouts so i can run open headers at the track, and flowmaster super 40s for the street. Who knows, thanks for the info again.

I had the 40's on my old barracuda, loved them. A little noisy for any long crusies but sounded great from outside.

Awesome car, I was rootin for you in that camaro race, I couldnt tell if you won or not, I bet he was scared though, and wht kind of money does he have in his car, compared to your simple setup, cant beat that!
Did the other guy break a gear on the line or something? he didnt go far.
I have got racing fever now that I heard that, been kinda quiet around here, I think I need to take the exhaust off of something and melt some tread off too.
Thanks for posting those.

Pishta, Carlsbad is now closed. They closed almost two years ago. They turned it into a business complex. Go Figure...quite a bummer as there are no tracks close by anymore.

Red face

Figures. I think Pomona has RWYB night on thursday but if you are fast they start checking drive shaft loops, cages and disc brakes and such. I know, safety first but Its a drag to be suprised that your car is fast and you cant race anymore until you get a loop. I doubt ill need that stuff anyway....I got frozen pizzas for rear tires!
