Default W2 Heads on a 340 street motor

Has anyone used W2 heads on a stock stroke 340? I am building my 340 from my 72 cuda and was thinking of using the W2's with a duel plain Edelbrock manifold and my stock thermo quad.

Edelbrock dual plane intake for W2 heads? Did not know they made one.

Mopar sold one that was made by Weiand....part number 8015 ...i believe. It is no longer sold new, but one will show up on ebay once every blue moon.

W2 heads will work fine on a street motor, just build it accordingly...dont over cam or over carb the engine.

The heads work fine for the street. It's all in the engines build combo.

Default Family street machine

Well here is what I had in mind.
1972 340 block .030 over
Stock forged 3.31 or 3.58 forged stroked
Eagle I beam rods
W2 heads PN 5249770
CAM??? Any suggestions
Erson rockers
P5249572 Aluminum Manifold Dual Plane Intake 4-bbl Carb (W2 Heads)
9801s Thermo Quad
TTI headers

I would like to keep the car streetable. I would like it to idle nice and start easy every time so that my wife could drive it even if she is lugging it around in 4th gear. I don't plan on driving it everyday just on the week ends with the family. With all this being said is this a good combo for the street?

I myself like the bigger stroke. You can get pistons for that combo off the shelf these days. 372 - 375 cubes.
On a cam, a mello MoPar, Comp, or such advertised duration of 280 or 230 @ .050 with as much lift as you can get thing is great. The power band of a cam like this is about 2,000 - 6,000 rpm. Great torque makers with respectable HP up top.
