Dp Or Vs?
I have a 600 holley dp vs a 600 holley vac sec. which would be better for performance and economy. i was told the vac sec lets you have a little lag were as the dp will be instant acceleration. i have not used dp much if any. so what do yall think?

Vacuum for 80% of all setups is the better choice. If you have a high horse low weight 4sp, then maybe a DP. A 750 vacuum is almost a universal performance carb as you can go 100 more CFM with a VS carb with little ill low end effect.

Now this is some info that is on a "Good to know" slot. The choice is yours. IMO If it's a daily driver looking for mileage, vacuum secondary the car.

sorry the curb weight with the 5.8l vs the 5l is about 150 lbs different. so weighing in at 3175 with the 5l and 3325 w/ 5.8l. and hp is closer to 350 and torque around 375. i have heard that i should use the dp it is supposed to get better milage. but i might try the 750 vac sec. car should be a 13 or 14 sec street car ????

A vaccum secondary carb gets better mileage and can be tuned with a stiffer spring for more mileage.
