Anyone using magnum rods and pistons in a LA series engine for better performance?

NO gain at all in using newer magnum rods. You want the '68 '69 318 rods. THere the lightest,strongest of them all and they use floating pins. We use them in all of our 360 race engines.

Magnum 318 pistons are flat top, just like the non magnum, and teh rods are heavier than the older rods.................I dont see a difference.
Buuuuut, maybe someone knows something I dont, I never paid any attention the magnum blocks......................or at least enough to measure and play with the rods.
