Question Know of a exhaust flow comparison chart ?

I'd be interested to see a chart or a link to some research that shows different muffler comparsions.

Like how flow affects HP

I'm all for cool sound - but I'm also very interested in (street) performance. I've been around the block enough to know that loud does not always = fast(est)

I've seen charts on Manufacturers websites

I'd be more interested in an unbiased point of view

Anyone know of one ?

There's been discussion on this so it may be worth your time to use the Moparchat search engine. I bumped this up to Performance in case you may get more responses here.

I remember someone talking about comparison tests done in a magazine

Anyone remember which magazine (and issue) that was ?

I might want to see if I can get a copy

I'm not sure but I think it may be HOT ROD or Car Craft. The article was published like two years ago.

That David Vizard written article is so outstanding that it ought to be read one, wait 3 days, read again, wait 3 days, read again.

It is also interesting how the millionns of NASCAR gift money given to University of North Carolina - Charlotte for their 'Motorsports' college degree program really shows up in the modern equipment that Vizard now can use - like state of the art flowbenches and dynos - and how Vizard now has a 'Small Army' of eager students to carry out experiments.
