rolleyes2 Carb. choice for 360/390 magnum R/T crate engine

Hi, recently I'm buy a 360/390 magnum crate engine and I would like to know which carb is the best for street driving and performance on this motor. My choice roll around the holley 650 mecanic double pomper or holley 750 vaccum secondary and speed demon 650 vaccum secondary, which are better for built quality, performance and consumption?

Tank's for the reply.

The answer (In my book) also depends on the tranny used, rear gears, weight of car and the intended purpose of the car as in if it's a street performance ride or strip only.
But I'll say in general, a 750 cfm unit will do.
Vacuum secondarys for a street ride, some strip.
Mech. secondarys for a manual trans and/or high stall auto for strip only with a numerically high rear ratio.
If the car is lightened, for the strip, you could go to 800.

Whats your stall speed on the converter? And whats your tire height?
Dave 571 can hook you up right. I think a 650 is to small for such a powerful engine.

I'd use the Demon. I could dial in the 750, but it would take me a little longer to do with the combo you have.

What are the cam specs on that crate motor?

Personally, If you go with the demon I would stick with a 650. Depending on cam specs, a Speed demon. VS because of the gear. Have you weighed the car? My buddy runs a 68 dart that has had a bunch of stuff taken out of it, and it is still 3400 pounds with a small block.

I also think I would bump the stall up to 3K (with a good converter it will still drive the same, just respond much better)

If you email me, I can get you a proper demon recomendation from FBO

mod's don't take this as a "selling" post. I live in Alberta, while he lives in Quebec. We are over 2500 miles apart, and I'm sure he can get one from a source closer to him than me.
