Default Benchracing

Some of my parts are still in the mail for my 318-360 swap and in the meantime my wife and I are sitting around and playing with the numbers.

We were wondering how much HP the 360 picked up by the .030 overbore. I don't know if it would be 3hp or 15hp.

Also the cam was replaced with a small one. lift @.050 109/119 duration 218/228. We are just looking for guesstimate hp over stock so we can plug in the numbers.

There might not be any concrete info on this, but best estimates are just as good, its only benchracing anyway and just for fun.

Jim13,
About your cam: I do believe you ment to say duration @ .050" tappet lift is 218/228 with lobe centers at 109/119.

A .030" over bore will not make a noticeable increase in horsepower, unless other things are also changed. For fun, I did a dyno simulation from 4.03 to 4.06 with everything else the same and made two more peak horsepower, but up to 4 more horsepower in the lower rpm range.
