440 Rocker shaft hold downs
Well,I just got my roller rockers and shafts from 440source.com and they sure are pretty. Their website says you can use your old shaft retainers(hold downs)But I dont think so. I bought the spacers that go between the rocker arms.my old ones used springs.I also bought the shims so you can "fine tune" the rockers directly over the valve stem.there is too much room on the shaft for them to slide back and forth off the center of the valve stem..A few more packs of shims would tighten up everything between each rocker, but I think these shims would not work up against the stock hold downs.Anybody use the M.P.billet hold downs? They look like they might solve the spacing problem.

440 shaft hold downs
ive used the mopar hold down set it looks good and applys even pressure on the shaft required plenty of time to trim each block like any other part i think springs work fine if you use shims make sure pushrod clears throughout travel along intake port.
