Default You're Fired!

Ok, from the description of this forum ("What if you ran DCX..."), it seems like the proper place for this vent....

If I ran DCX, I'd fire whatever no good excuse for an engineer came up with those stupid steel tubes around the spark plugs on the magnum engines!!

Thanks for letting me vent.

Would you rather have your plug wire boots laying againt those hot exhaust manifolds? those "stupid" steel tubes are heat shields.

Ya, I'm fully aware of what their purpose is supposed to be. However, other manufacturers have used steel sleeves that simply slid over the plug wire boots instead of being pressed into the head where they collect all sorts of dirt and debris that eventually hardens like concrete so that you can't get a socket on the damn spark plugs. I haven't met a technician yet whose had anything good to say about these stupid things.
