Idea Piston to valve clearance

Hi Guys, here I am again.... After tha last broked engine....
How can I measure te correct place and deep to make valve pockets onm my pistons ????
I saw at a book that the exaust valve is closest to the piston about 10º BTDC and Intake about 10 ATDC.... Is this correct ??? may I mark and measure with this informaion ???

Best regards,

Odilo

The closest point is usually between 10 btdc and 10 atdc, you should check it at each degree between those points with the cam timing in the position you intend to drive. This is actually only needed with extermely tight valve to piston clearances.
