400 or 440 which is the best beast to stroke out

I'v had to many if, and, buts to which is the best beast to stroke 400 or 440 block, at the locall level, if any one has any facts, please let me know. thanks

I think the cheaper way to go is to stroke the 400. You can use a 440 crank. The 440 needs an aftermarket crank. Either one will get you one monster engine. The 451 Stroker is a very good combo. I think the 440 stroker comes out as a 500. Again a monster.
