Default New Fuel Injection Pics

Well, I havn't really posted here in a while but here is what is going on w/ my '65 Dodge right now, it went 9.98 a few weeks ago, the tranny was slipping pretty bad and fuel system wasn't working the way it should, and I had to get out of it about 30 feet from the stripe. well I almost got the car back together. The new tranny went in last week and I have also been working on installing a Flying toilet on the car, as well as a shogun cooling system, I also had to switch to an aluminum radiator to make more room for Fuel cell. I still have to finish fitting the water manifold to the motor plate, shorten the throttle shaft, install a y-block for a Temp sensor and finish messing w/ all these dang hoses, and adjust/mount the fuel shut off. Here is a buch of pics, I'm not to happy w/ the way the fuel cell is mounted so gonna have to go back to the drawing board on that.
If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.
Curtis

and a shot of the car.

rock ON!

I always wondered with that car, how a car can be that big but have a engine compartment so small.....

How much room do you have from the scoop to top of toilet?

Pull the foam out of that cell too!

I was going to run that Shogun system, but mines a street car and I couldnt find a decent pump. I went retro with a '65 Super Stock AL water pump housing and a CAT pump. I envy you guys with the large motor bays! What about mounting the cell up in front of the wheel, any room there? Flying toilet, love it!

any cell up front has to be inside the frame, or has to have a frame built around it basically....

Oh, learn something everyday. Hey, what about all those Hot Wheels nostalgia drag cars that have the MOON tanks mounted above the front bumper?

Well I got it running tonight. The car is loaded up and ready for some 1/8 mile action tomorrow night. This thing sounds NASTY, and runs great, so much easier than a carb. Thanks for the help bro.

Default A friend of mine

A friend of mine used to have the Ron's 4bbl throttle body injection, basically a 4bbl carb center section. With running alcohol only for racing 1/4 mile at a time he pulled his radiator and made a fuel tank a little bit bigger that went in place of the rad. And used a large recovery tank for coolant. Seeing as the alky has a tendency to chill the block anyways when he'd bring up the rpm's. Prior to that he used a surge tank that Ron's offers. With the primary tank in the trunk to feed it.
