Help with 98 Plymouth Neon Expresso
This vehicle has had the gasket problems and since the repair it has not been as reliable as it should be. Have always gotten a lot of misfire error codes. Now having a large problem, need some feedback. The head gasket was repaired, the can shaft sensor has been replace, and most recently the coil pack was replaced. But the car still will not run right. Takes 5 or 6 times to get it to start (if you can keep it running) Then has absolutely no power. New spark plugs were put in last weekend, wires only 1 year old. Coil pack was replaced by mechanic and it still will not run. Any ideas? Is it just time to replace the engine. Would it be worth it to replace it and if so with what???? Help,

Is it a dual cam or single? Either way one or both cams are off. Ran into the same trouble while doing a 3.0 V6 a few months ago. One of the cams moved while I was under it tightening the belt. It would start and run fine, but it was a dog in the bottom end and ran fine on the high side. Cam was off just one tooth. I'd pull number one back up on top dead center and pull your covers and check the alignment marks 1st before I wasted any more time or money.
