Default 2001 Dodge 5.2 L 318 Magnum Engine for sale

I have an almost complete 2001 Dodge 5.2 L 318 Magnum Engine for sale. I replaced it with a performance 360 in order to be able to pull my 11,000 pound fifth wheel camper.

The engine has 110,000 miles but was running well and did not use oil when pulled. Intake, exhaust headers, heads, valve covers, oil pan, timing cover still attached. Also will include factory fuel injectors, torque converter, flex plate, and crankshaft damper with pulleys.

Asking $550 for complete setup. I used some bolts as well as the distributor, throttle body, fuel rail, and oil dipstick to install my new engine.

Delivery can be discussed for Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa. Will be traveling the weekend of July
4th and those states could be managed.

Thanks,

Bob

Yes, the 1500 is rated to pull this trailer. It is approx 500pounds below the maximum rate for the truck.

The new engine provides 350 HP and approx 400 foot pounds torque at the tranny. With overcoil shocks and helper springs the ride is pretty good too.

Wow, my '97 2500 wasn't rated that high. The towing capacity is based on other things besides horsepower. Chassis, suspension, transmission and brakes are all key players.

I was curious enough to research towing capacity on an '01 1500. I couldn't find any reference nearly that high. I really think that is 2500/3500 diesel territory. However, I have been wrong before. I wonder what the door pillar tag says.
