Default tell me more

thanks for the tips on the 8.25 diff. the current 7.25 measures 57 in. flange to flange, with 5 on 4.5 bolt pateren. is there a certain tear of the f, j and m cars to look at for a donor. the dakotas use the 8.25 would this work?

Not sure about a Dakota. The F body Aspen and Volare are all the same and plentiful. I'd look for one of these.

The Dakota does use a 8.25. It also uses a 6 bolt lug pattern. Not the friendliest. I looked into it vaugely for mine and I think i remember there being pretty significant width issues too.
