Question Leaf spring centering pin?

I bought & installed a Mopar leafspring relocation kit. I also picked up some Heavy duty leafsprings, yet to be installed. The problem is that the new spring pearchs that came with the relocation kit have too large of holes for the leafspring centering pin. The old pearches that are still on my rearend are the same size as the centering pin on the new leaves. What gives?
Are the centering pins bigger on "superstock" springs?

hello, the spring centring bolt is same size. It requires a bushing to be installed. you can have one made on a lathe or make one yourself. I found that a piece of schedule 40 3/8" pipe works very well. cut a piece off to fit. it has to sit flush with bottom of perch, can stick up inside. then reach in and tack weld it to perch. i done mine years ago, still in place. just food for thought.

But what is the intention of the oversized hole? It must have some reason behind it, no?

The larger than normal hole in the MP perches is intended for use with the rubber isolators that first appeared on mid-seventies cars; as previously stated they need bushings to be used with the standard 1/2" centering pin.

I think that Mancini sells the proper perches with the smaller holes.

That sounds pretty dumb to me. In the Mopar Chassis manual, they say to stay away from the rubber isolators.
I love Mopar, but sometimes, they make some second rate products, in my opinion.

Thanks for the replys.
