Only major problem I see is the 10.25 to 1 cr. You'll have to drop it to 7.5 or 8 to 1 for a supercharger. You'll need a blower cam of course and some cometic head gaskets too.

so im too high on the compression huh... dang...

i just had this motor done so i dont plan on re-doing it just for a charger... i wish i would have planned for it when the motor was getting done.... oh well, the next project...

i have another 440 in progress and trying to get a roadrunner from a buddy to drop it in... maybe i'll build this one for a blower...

Thanks for the advice

It wouldnt be that tough to get it ready for a blower, new pistons, cam and head gaskets along with the intake and huffer.

Personally though, I love the looks of your car with the hood scoop on it, and unless you used a centrifugal blower, that would have to go. Id keep the Barracuda looking like it is and build that RR with a big ol' roots blower hanging out with no hood!

Your compression is definitely too high for a street driven supercharged machine. There are two options for your existing engine, thicker than standard Cometic head gaskets and/or dish pistons. You could look at remachining your existing pistons but you need to maintain at least a .220" piston deck(.250" preferred). Even with that thick of a piston deck, your boost will be limited to about 10-12 lbs. of boost.

Your 1050 Demon carb will probably work with some modification(no vacuum power valves for example). But, the Demon probably not be enough carb for a blower engine. You will probably need a pair of 750s at least.

You didn't mention ignition. An MSD with at least a 7AL box will be necessary, probably a locked advance will work best.
